Eric Topol: Most prior deep learning #AI for skin conditions has been for #cancer (especially #melanoma). A new report extends this to 26 common conditions w/ high levels of accuracy (cf dermatologists, other clinicians). https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.05382 by @GoogleAI @UCSF @dav_cz and colleagues https://t.co/P0cCyBHDU1

Ade Adamson, MD MPP: Interesting study, I'm glad they included board certified dermatologists in the mix. In follow up studies they should use more representative skin type distribution, including lighter (Type I) skin 👦🏻 and darker (Type V-VI skin) 👦🏾👦🏿

Egon Willighⓐgen: so, @GoogleAI can now recognize at clinical quality 80% of the skin diseases. We're getting somewhere. https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.05382 Now, maybe they can solve @ChEMBL next?
